Run4school is a family fun run or walk, taking place in the beautiful surroundings of Sutton Park. It offers pupils, teachers, their family and friends of Shrubbery Primary Schools, Whitehouse Common, Little Sutton and Four Oaks Primary School a chance to come together and race for fun. Run, jog or walk over a 5K (3 miles) distance.

This is the second year we have participated in this event and we would love to beat our record of 440 participants that took part last year. You can invite all your family and friends even if they do not attend The Shrubbery School to support the school.

Run with or race your parents/carers or try and “beat the teacher”. Above all, this is a family fun run, over a more child and family friendly distance, with ultimate aims to raise money for each of the schools and our chosen local charity: The Norman Laud Association.

The start and finish of the event will be at the Upper Arena Fields, which may be reached through the Streetly Gate entrance to Sutton Park off Thornhill Road. Parking is available but is likely to get busy so we are encouraging people to walk or cycle to the start if at all possible. The aim is for families and friends to run together and an adult must accompany all children under the age of 11. All children remain the responsibility of their parent/carer at all times.

The course will be fully marshalled and First Aiders will be present.

All entrants will receive a medal. Prizes will also be awarded for the most money raised through sponsorship for each school.

If anyone would be interested in sponsoring run4school t-shirts for the Shrubbery School then please contact Mr Griffin at The Shrubbery School for details. T-shirts would be a wonderful addition for your chosen school.
