The main objective of the  Shrubbery School Parents Association is to provide a vital link between parents and the school. It provides a supportive forum to exchange ideas on fundraising activities, and creates opportunities to enhance our children’s experience that are outside of the core learning objectives of the school.

We organise several events such as the summer fayre, sponsored bounce, discos  and even an outdoor movie night which proved to be a tremendous success. The funds raised through these events go directly into providing fantastic opportunities for the children. We also run a very successful second hand uniform shop.

Amongst other things, the PA has contributed towards the costs of bike/scooter racks, playground games, sports team kit and bike-ability courses. We have also purchased indoor play equipment, cameras  and iPads. We give the Year 6 children a leaving gift at the end of each year, and more recently purchased a new modular stage for performances in the school hall.

The committee is made up of parents who volunteer their time to organise and plan activities. It is chaired by Mrs Louise Priddy, the vice-chair is Mrs Tusheeta David  and the treasurer is Mrs Tara Lawrence.

How can you help?

We need as many parents as possible to get involved, and we welcome all new volunteers.  The PA meets once a term and you may either join us for the meetings, or help at one of our organised events. If you would like to get involved in the PA, or have any questions or suggestions, please email Louise (louisepriddy@yahoo.com).
